He made the remarks following the fifth trilateral meeting of the Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian foreign ministers.
Mammadyarov said the Tbilisi statement reiterates support for the territorial integrity, sovereignty and internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The FM said Azerbaijan’s position on the conflict is clear. “Unfortunately, the Armenian side is still pursuing its aggressive and expansionist policy. Armenia's attempts to continue this policy and maintain the status quo on the conflict impede progress in the conflict’s settlement,” he added.
Spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmat Hajiyev told reporters that Georgian and Turkish FMs expressed support for Azerbaijan’s position.
“Failure in solution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict is reflected in the Tbilisi statement as well. According to the statement, the territorial integrity, sovereignty and internationally recognized borders of states must be respected. The borders of states can’t be changed by force”, said the spokesman.
