APA. “Azerbaijani lands occupied by Armenia, and they must be returned - that's a fact”, - the former President of Estonia Arnold Ruutel told APA.
He noted that the mediating Minsk Group should try to possible resolve the conflict through negotiations, "However, in the case of inconclusive peaceful way and in the absence of any other way, Azerbaijan has the right to liberate its occupied territories with military means.
The ex-president said that the Armenians lately trying to represent Nagorno-Karabakh as an “independent state” in Europe: “But this unsuccessful attempt. Firstly, thanks to the fair promotion of Azerbaijanis, people are already informed about the true state of affairs. On the other hand, an attempt to create the second Armenia in the region, in particular, in the territory of the neighboring state is contrary to all norms and wrong.”
A. Ruutel also noted that recently the Azerbaijani community has become more active in comparison with the other peoples of the Caucasus, in particular the Armenian community: "Thanks to this Estonian politicians look on this South Caucasian conflict through the prism of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and it is their position in EU”.
