Azerbaİjan condemns shellİng of combİne harvester İn Fuzulİ dİstrİct by Armenİans
“We sharply condemn that on May 29, Armenian armed units stationed in the occupied Gorgan village of Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli" style="line-height: 1.6em;">Fuzuli district struck a combine harvester and its driver working in a grain field and evaluate this as Armenia’s next provocation. It is very easy to discern a combine harvester working in a grain field due to its size and appearance. However, it is obvious that the armed forces of Armenia aimed to commit a targeted attack against the civilian object,” Spokesman for Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry Hikmat Hajiyev said on Tuesday,APA reported.
“The deliberate targeting of civilians, including children and civilian objects by Armenia on the contact line for the provocation purposes, is systematic. This case once again shows that the status quo, based on the illegal existence of the Armenian armed forces in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and the continuation of the occupation of Azerbaijani lands, is unacceptable and continues to pose a serious threat to regional peace and security. In order to change the status-quo based on the occupation, the Armenian troops must be withdrawn from the occupied Azerbaijani territories in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council,” he said.
